Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the TuneKit iPhone app published by Truck and Toolbox LLC. TuneKit is a drum tuning app that uses your device microphone for live, on-device pitch detection and lug matching.

No data collected TuneKit does not collect personal data, analytics, or advertising data.
Microphone only Microphone access is used solely to analyze drum strikes on your device.
No recording Audio is not recorded, saved, or uploaded.
No accounts The app works without sign-in, subscriptions, or cloud storage.

Information We Collect

Truck and Toolbox LLC does not collect, store, or transmit personal information through TuneKit. The app does not create user accounts, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not include analytics, ad tracking, or third-party marketing SDKs.

TuneKit uses your iPhone microphone to listen to drum strikes in real time so it can estimate pitch, show frequency and note information, and help you match the lugs around a drum head. This microphone input is processed on your device only.

Important: TuneKit does not record audio, does not save audio files, and does not upload audio or pitch data to Truck and Toolbox LLC or to third parties.

How Device Permissions Are Used

TuneKit requests microphone access because microphone input is required for its core function: drum pitch detection.

  • The microphone is used only while the app is actively listening for drum strikes.
  • The audio signal is analyzed on-device to estimate pitch and tuning differences.
  • If microphone access is denied, the tuning features will not work until access is enabled in iOS Settings.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

Because TuneKit does not collect user data, there is no user data to sell, rent, or share with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties.

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may process information related to downloads, purchases, or device operations under its own policies. Those practices are governed by Apple, not by TuneKit.

Data Retention and Security

TuneKit does not maintain servers for app data and does not retain user data because it does not collect user data. Audio is processed transiently on your device for live pitch detection and is not retained by Truck and Toolbox LLC after processing.

Since app usage remains local to your device, protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID is the primary way to control access.

Children's Privacy

TuneKit is not designed to collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information, Truck and Toolbox LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children through TuneKit.

Changes to This Policy

If TuneKit's privacy practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. Any App Store privacy disclosures should also be updated to remain accurate.
