Tuna Beach Support

Questions, bug reports, feature requests, and tuning results that look wrong all go to the same place.

The fastest diagnosis comes from an email that includes:

• the instrument and tuning preset you selected
• the note or string you played and what Tuna Beach displayed
• whether you used the built-in reference tone, wired audio, Bluetooth, or the device microphone
• your device model, iOS version, and Tuna Beach version shown in Settings

Please do not send an audio recording unless we specifically ask for one.

Why does Tuna Beach need microphone access?

The tuner needs to hear your instrument to measure its pitch. Audio is analyzed only in memory on your device and is not recorded, stored, or uploaded. See our Privacy Policy.

I denied microphone access. How do I turn it on?

Open iOS Settings, choose Apps, choose Tuna Beach, and enable Microphone. You can also use the Open Settings button shown inside Tuna Beach after access is denied.

The tuner is not settling on a note. What should I try?

Move to a quieter place, play one string at a time, mute the other strings, and hold the device near the instrument without touching the microphone. For an electric instrument, a clean sustained tone works best.

Can I tune bass or ukulele?

Yes. Open the tuning picker and choose 4-string Bass or Ukulele (GCEA). Guitar presets include Standard, Drop D, Half-Step Down, Open G, and DADGAD. Pro Mode provides chromatic tuning.

What does reference pitch change?

Settings lets you move A4 from 415 to 466 Hz. Every tuning target and reference tone follows that value. Use 440 Hz unless your ensemble or music calls for another reference.

Does Tuna Beach need an account or internet connection?

No. Tuning, reference tones, settings, and the metronome work without an account or network connection.

Tuna Beach has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Questions about an App Store download, billing record, or refund are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
